HOST A CHILD

Step 1: If you are new to our program, your first step is simple. Attend our monthly Education Event where you will learn more about each of the programs offered. You will get answers to your questions, and hopefully be prepared to jump in at the level you are comfortable with.

Step 2: If you have already attended one of our Education Events  (and have submitted a background check), you are ready to explore options like the one below!

Safe Families for Children is an innovative collaboration between area churches, volunteers and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need. Safe Families for Children is an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home!

SAFE FAMILIES AND FOSTER CARE VIRTUAL ORIENTATION

Safe Families is a ministry that offers respite and support to at-risk families by caring for their children while they receive the resources that they need to regain stability in their lives. The preventative form of support helps to keep families together and prevent additional trauma to children that could be at risk of being separated.

Our foster care system is anticipating an influx of children who experience child abuse and neglect during this difficult season. Over the next year and beyond we are committed to impacting foster care through preventative measures such as Safe Families and by playing an active role in Foster Care. Join us in making a difference in a year where Safe Families are needed more than ever.

Register for our virtual orientation over Zoom to learn more about Safe Families & Foster Care. Once registered, you will receive an email from our team with the Zoom link and instructions.
